A reflection...
how have I used blog in education?
Problems that I face...
Time
How does one find time to update and upload anything? Or to type out things?
With the use of RSS feeds we certainly can read about the blogs fast enough... can we?
I'm not too sure.
How can I solve this?
As it is... I only blog ... once in a while.. when random thoughts come to mind...
Checking to ensure that all the students have participated
That's tough.. I think. For all the times I've gone into the lab, and the kids have blogged... there are a few who won't finish on time, and it doesn't get updated.
Something to remember and check on.
Benefits from blogs
Yet... blogs can bring many benefits...
1. It engages the children... it is after all, their medium of communication.
2. It certainly easier to mark in terms of copying and pasting them to a Word Document and checking their grammar.
3. It is a place for them to interact with one another... and a place for me to work with them, because I don't have time to see them otherwise.
-- A blog can be a place for me to continue tutoring them... if I can. :P
Eventually... I have to get used to it, if I decide to use it.
Time time... yes, no doubt. It is another preparation for me.
I hope... I will have time to do it.

Blog in NSS
As we begin our journey of blogging in Northland...
Questions to ask ourselves.. :)
1. How to get all the students to do it at home too? (not just in school)
2. How do I check all the posts the students upload?
3. Model English????? Singlish??? A place for sensible thoughts, or a place for venting and sharing of feelings?
